At Rajapalayam, in South India, 132kms away from Tuticorin Harbour, is one of India's best yarn producers S.A. Aanandan Spinning Mills spread over across 7 acres of land, with most modern spinning facilities of 30,000 spindles and plans to double the capacity near future. We venture into manufacture of innovative products like Linen/cotton blends with counts 14s to 30s and multiple plied yarns till 20 PLYS in our newly installed machines.

We also have a subsidiary made ups, Ananda Fabrics which produces shop towels, kitchen towels, bar mops, terry towels besides other home textiles in 100% Cotton and Polyester/Cotton blends, exclusively for USA market.

The guiding spirit behind our success is the Managing Director, A. Ilavarasu, an MBA Graduate. He is well known in the Indian textile industry for his innovative approach and extra-ordinary thinking.

He has directed his energy with dedicated leadership taking business mission to new verticals by accelerating the business growth and building a stronger institution committed to deliver results.

We have technically sound personnels in production, maintenance and marketing teams who work round the clock to keep our production and quality standards to the maximum everytime.

Employee Welfare

Employee well-being is incorporated in every aspect of the mill business. The mill provides labour welfare fund through which workers get benefits like educational books, spectacles, tours and marriage expenses for better living of their employees. A crèche is also provided for women workers.

To ensures the safe and healthy working conditions of the workers; the mill conducts medical camps, health checkups, health awareness programs, safety awareness and crisis management programmes at regular intervals to equip our employee to handle any situation in the premises. Also we have exclusive fire fighting and crisis management teams in each shift who will be readily available during any uneventful occasions

The management is thus committed to the progressive welfare of the staff and workers by providing them with employee self-improvement programs, sports & leisure activities. An IL&FS Training programme has been conducted for all department workers.

Training and Awareness Programmes

SAASM believes training plays a vital role at all levels, right from top level management to the floor level workers. It is important to achieve the highest production, optimum quality and lowest waste level targets of the management. To bring all this on one platform, SAASM has exclusively developed a meeting hall. The mill arranges meetings at periodic intervals at all levels. The contents of the meetings covers the present mill scenario and mill productivity level, needs for good housekeeping, needs of effective work methods & their implementation and effective communication at all levels. Also discussed are the needs of assistance by workers in carrying out effective preventive maintenance work and thereby avoiding breakdowns, through proper reports.

Involvement of the workers in all management activities helps the mill to keep up the good relationship with the management. The mill also utilizes the external experts meant for workers training in spinning mills. The expert trainers train the workers for a period of one month per batch so as to maintain and improve the efficiency of workers through proper work methods at the floor level. This helps workers equip themselves with the latest techniques incorporated in the latest generation machinery.
